The Persian cats of the titles aren't actually furry creatures - rather, they are a pair of young Iranian musicians who simply want the chance to play in front of an audience. Not easy to do in their Islamic fundamentalist home country, which is why they spend much of their time trying to get visas to go to London. It's a fascinating film that pretends to be fiction but is mostly a documentary, and gives a good idea about what it is like to live in a country where rock, rap and pop are crimes against the religious state.
When a pizza delivery man in Iran becomes aware of the wealth around him and his own impoverishment, he decides to take drastic action.
