Ice Age: Survive and Thrive with Buck Wild, created in partnership with Disney+ to celebrate the streaming release of The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, takes students aged 6-11 on a learning adventure through science, English/literacy, PSHE and art and design.

In the new Disney+ Original movie, The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild continues the prehistoric pandemonium when thrill-seeking possum brothers Crash and Eddie find themselves trapped in the Lost World. They are rescued by their one-eyed pal, the adventure loving Buck Wild, who they team up with on a mission to save the Lost World from dinosaur domination.

Taking inspiration from the adventures of our favourite sub-zero heroes, this curriculum-linked learning programme is designed to promote learning engagement, teamwork and develop discussion about the growing importance of environmental sustainability.

The full learning resource is comprised of a two-lesson learning sequence with a series of downloadable files, notes, PowerPoints and activity sheets to support teaching and encourage learning both inside the classroom and at home. Further engagement activities, including a story-building exercise to plan a new adventure for Crash and Eddie, will link to core curriculum topics whilst reflecting themes from the film.

Please note: The Ice Age: Survive and Thrive competition has now closed. However, you can still make use of the activity sheet below.

Updating our resources

We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.
