Synopsis

In this big-screen adaptation of the popular game, the reason behind the birds’ unstoppable anger is revealed. Bird Island is initially a paradise inhabited by happy, peace-loving, flightless birds. Highly-strung misfits like Red are required to undergo anger management to maintain the calm and joyful atmosphere. When a ship full of gift-bearing green pigs suddenly appear, Red is the only one to feel suspicious, but his concerns are ignored as ‘unfriendly’. Unfortunately, it’s not long before Red’s worst fears are proven true, and it falls to him to him to rally the feathered flock into enough of a frenzy to fight back. Packed full of puns, this zany animation recreates in minute detail the weird and wonderful world of the Angry Birds.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
