Synopsis

Two best friends run across the rooftops and streets of their city somewhere in the Middle East, having fun in an environment they are familiar with. However, we soon discover that the game they have been playing may be interrupted by the realities of life in their war-torn city and the two of them may need each other to survive. Intertwining elements of fantasy and science-fiction, this short animation nevertheless aims to help young audiences realise the cost of war and the loss of innocence.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
