Synopsis

The killing of Stephen Lawrence by a group of white teenage boys led to one of the most complex and controversial murder investigations in 20th Century Britain. None of the suspects were convicted until 2012, following a long campaign for justice by Doreen and Neville Lawrence. This three-part series examines events leading up to the murder, the police investigation and a landmark inquiry that exposed institutional racism within the police force.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
