Synopsis

Imagine a place where waterfalls are made of creamy chocolate, and where you can lick the wallpaper and it tastes like blueberries, strawberries and snozzberries! All this and more is possible in confectionary king Willy Wonka's amazing chocolate factory. But be careful with your manners - you wouldn't want to end up in the fudge room or, worse yet, the toffee-stretching room! Author Roald Dahl's classic story comes to life in this entrancing film from director Tim Burton.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
