For almost as long as people have been making films, they've been obsessed with the idea of aliens invading from other planets - and Martians in particular, with War of the Worlds the most famous example of "Martian fear". But it's fair to say that no film in movie history has ever dealt with the subject quite like Mars Attacks - a riotously funny sci-fi romp from director Tim Burton in which an army of bulb-headed green invaders arrive on Earth and proceed to wreak havoc. The film is packed with snappy one-liners and amazing effects - and the Martians themselves are a hoot.
This film has a couple of uses of mild bad language.
