Note: Due to the temporary closure of many cinemas across the UK, and lack of new releases during November, we will be focusing on DVD releases for audiences to enjoy in their film clubs or at home. We hope to bring you information about a wealth of cinema releases in the near future.

From the director of the worldwide anime sensation Your Name comes this romantic drama which follows Hodaka, a high-school boy who runs away from his home on a remote Japanese island to live in Tokyo.

Finding independent life much harder than he expected, and disappointed in the constant gloomy weather, he nevertheless finds a job as a writer for a mysterious occult magazine. However, he soon meets Hina, a charismatic and intelligent girl who claims to have the powerful and amazing ability to clear the sky and control the weather. Filled with passion and adventure, Weathering With You is a visually dazzling and optimistic film.

Scoob!; A Call to Spy

First up, a new spin on the Scooby-Doo franchise as this animated story, set in the present-day, provides an origin story to how Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred formed the investigative team Mystery Inc. The group are now young adults navigating growing up while taking on their biggest monster-catching adventure yet, setting off on the task to catch Dick Dastardly, an evil villain planning to unleash a three-headed Greek mythological hound on the world. With nods to today's culture and technology, this enjoyable adventure brings the novelty of the much-loved cartoon to a new audience.

A Call to Spy, meanwhile, is a wartime drama which tells the incredible real-life story of a classified project that Winston Churchill developed, training women to become spies so they could infiltrate Nazi Germany and take it down from the inside. Made by a majority female film crew, this tale of three differing spies with the same heroic agenda is too fascinating to not be told and celebrates those who deserve undue credit for putting themselves in danger for the greater good.
