With the support of the BFI and Cinema First, we work with a range of partners across the screen industries to nurture young audiences and build a thriving cinema sector and workforce for the future.
Through in-cinema activity, sector support and school-facing film campaigns, we cultivate the largest sustainable, passionate and diverse young audience possible.
How you can partner with us
Screen careers
The Into Film Screen Careers programme aims to build greater awareness of screen careers and improve access to the sector for young people.
Through our social media and dedicated young person hub, the programme supports a diverse range of young people to pursue a career in the screen industries. It does this by raising awareness of the variety of roles, showcasing opportunities and next steps, and empowering young people to believe a career in screen is available to them.
The programme also empowers educators and careers professionals, to be able to talk confidently to young people about the screen career opportunities open to them, through our careers hub, resources and training.
We support schools to engage with the screen industries by providing opportunities to hear first-hand from working professionals. These industry encounters (in person and online) allow young people to engage and question someone working in the industry, inspiring young people across the UK to think about the screen sector as a viable and exciting career option. Our work with state funded school and non-school settings encourages equality of opportunity and seeks to address under-representation in the screen industries.
Working in partnership with the organisations within the screen industries, is integral to the success of the programme, and of the development of the industry as a whole.
Whether it's being part of an online broadcast, developing a training session, partaking in a careers event, or being featured on our social media, we welcome all opportunities to work with industry partners to champion this exciting, innovative and unique industry to young people.
ScreenWorks
Since 2019, we've been delivering ScreenWorks in Northern Ireland. Funded by Northern Ireland Screen, ScreenWorks provides young people aged 14-19 with work experience, offering hands-on opportunities to learn about careers across the five screen sectors: film, television, animation, gaming and visual effects.
The Into Film Festival and year-round cinema programmes
We're proud to host the Into Film Festival every year - this is the largest free film festival for young people in the world.
Our festival and year-round cinema programmes are supported by organisations across the entire sector. From exhibition and distribution to production and print transport, we come together to give young people the opportunity to experience the gold standard of film-watching, often for the very first time.
These programmes are a celebration of cinema, showing films that inspire and excite along with an events schedule focussed on demystifying the film industry as a viable career option.

We work with educators and exhibitors to promote and facilitate accessible, enjoyable and safe cinema-going experiences for all young audiences. We have worked with the Goss Consultancy on making our cinema events more accessible to audiences with disabilities and have produced a toolkit for educators who wish to bring young people with SEND/ASN to screenings, and, an SEND toolkit for exhibitors wishing to welcome them.
As strategic partners of the BFI Film Audience Network, we support exhibitors to welcome young audiences into their venues with schools-facing specialist screening programmes, consultation with 16 to 19-year-olds and sharing of best practice and research.
We work with the sector to incentivise and promote paid admissions through regular ticket offers and a platform that connects schools with cinemas for paid booking enquiries.
