Designed to fit into your busy school schedule, One-Shot Filmmaking explores simple strategies to turn your primary pupils into confident filmmakers.
Now available on-demand, this short, free course introduces a fast and fun approach to one-shot filmmaking. It works across the curriculum and can be completed inside a single lesson, meaning one-shot filmmaking can be used as a powerful tool to showcase and assess pupil learning.
As you learn, you’ll discover exciting strategies to celebrate pupils’ unique voices and put them at the centre of their own learning. You’ll even get the chance to create your own one-shot films!
There will also be an opportunity to share your thoughts with fellow educators, watch some great exemplar one-shot films and get access to downloadable lesson resources that will give you everything you need to get started with your pupils.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Use filmmaking to support primary learning
Recognise how filmmaking can develop pupils’ collaboration, problem solving and communication skills
Plan and record one-shot films using simple equipment
Support your pupils through the filmmaking process.
To support your filmmaking work in the course and into the future, we’ve launched our Filmmaking Forum – a dedicated space to share experiences, celebrate successes, ask questions and discuss your filmmaking plans with fellow learners and Into Film experts. Just click on the link to join (you will need to create an account and provide some information about your organisation if you have not already done so). We can’t wait to hear from you!
